About the company
Our company is part of the Springburn District of Glasgow Battalion based in Colston Wellpark Parish Church, Springburn Road, Glasgow. Jim McVean has been Company Captain since 2003, taking over from Alex McMillan. Our chaplain is Rev. Christine Goldie.
We currently have over 40 members in 3 sections. Anchors, Junior and Company meets during the school term from late August through to early May.
Each section meets once a week for a programme that includes all elements of our award programme, Body, Mind, Spirit, Community and Creativity. All sections also take part in District and Battalion events throughout the year.
Company History
Founded in 1932, we celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the company at Colston Wellpark with a Special Commemoration Service on Sunday 14th January 2007. We hope to add additional activities throughout the anniversary year including an ex- member's dinner.
